WordPress Relative URLs Plugin
Ever get sick and tired of replacing all those hard coded URLs inside your WordPress posts? Well, this is no longer a problem with the WordPress Relative URLs Plugin.
Here’s how it works:
This plugin adds two different shortcodes that can be added on any pageĀ (or widget) that you’d like.
First, lets say you have a page located here:
http://www.example.com/about-me/
Now what happens if your site moves to a new domain? And the URL ends up becoming this:
http://www.newexample.com/about-me/
Now in every instance you referenced that page, you’d have to go back and change the URL to the new domain everywhere.
When you install this plugin, all you have to do is reference the URL like so:
[URL]/about-me/
So you don’t have to worry about the URLs or location of your site ever again!
One more shortcode that this plugin adds, which functions the exact same as the URL shortcode, is the Theme URL shortcode. Let’s say you have an image located here:
http://www.example.com/wp-content/themes/mytheme/images/logo.jpg
Now with the WordPress Relative URLs Plugin, all you have to do to call this theme’s image is use this syntax:
[themeURL]/images/logo.jpg
The WordPress Relative URLs Plugin allows you to switch between themes and domain names easily!
